I waited to ask until the auction completed.
Now I see that the seller has ANOTHER one of these "rare" guns for sale?
Why does it seem unlikely that Action Arms made these up, and if so, how did I miss it in the Uzi Bible (Dave's book)?
Seller even has a figure (50 imported) to go with it.
They do look well finished and not just cobbled together.
BTW, the last one sold for $3800.

The gun itself is nothing unusual. It's just an UZI Pistol with stock added. You can tell by the markings that it was originally made for someplace other than USA. I'd say either Europe or Israel. The welding on the stock seems a little rougher than a normal factory gun so the stocks might have been added after the fact. The only real question is who imported them? I don't see any import markings in the photos.

If those came in as parts kits for $3000, then those prices are reasonable, If not a good deal for a finished gun that's already SBRd

Back in January, arms unlimited was selling micro uzi pistols. The folding stocks were sold separately.

$3000ish if I remember correctly.

If I'm not mistaken, these have the SMG style cocking handle as well?

The guns themselves are 3000, and the stocks are unobtainium

I emailed the seller. He said he had two - second one is the last one. Seems that they were from the AU batch. Importer on those were HKI (unrelated to HK) in MD. On the AU guns, it was marked on the barrel. Have to pull the barrel to see it.

Numrich had re-weld parts kits for 700.00 in 2018 I got one.
They had 33 of them.
I went to get another a week later they were gone.

If they were stuck in the NFA re-welded it would explain the no import marks.
Still should have Mfg. info from the re-build and SBR maker though.
I know Serbu did a bunch of the bowman kits ( 1600 torched trunnions guns were pretty much a 100% rebuild) ) for SOT's that didn't have the mad skills or angry tools to do them, but his had the happy switch for the SOT's.

Interesting guns none the less.

ETA: looks like the above post beat me with a explanation.

It's also nice to see the seller isn't starting his auctions with retard prices.

$3,000 for the pistols from AOA for the pistols without access to stocks was ridiculous. Of course they did sell out, so what do I know? The seller simply made some money for the trouble of uniting a stock with a pistol and going through the registration hassle. Good for him.

Of the folks I know that bought a pistol from AU and a stock, all received a stock. I do think they canceled the orders of people that bought stocks separately. Could be wrong.

Well that sounds much better. At one point they were selling the pistols without the opportunity to buy a stock. I don't know why someone would purchase the pistol in that situation.

You mean that these were sold with the stocks? I wold think that even if not attached they were still an SBR? It's not like say the M10/11 SAP pistols where the stock slots were welded over.

The stocks were listed separately on Arms Unlimited's website.
