Have a RR IMI conversion with out the blocking bar and was asking around on converting to take subgun barrels (other option is sticking with the several semi barrels that I have ... ).

While milling off the restrictive ring and bushing the trigger pack pin hole in the receiver (plus opening up the sear slots?) appear to be fairly straight foward for a good NFA gunsmith / machinist .... have received comments on the risks when opening up the trunnion (one can have a few issues on a bad day and end up with a loose fit due to drift/gaullin) and have see comments on a few Vector IMI "adjustments" with this problem problem.

Appreciate ideas, recommendations and comments on what needs to be done and whom to talk to (also don't wish to send the gun off for two to five plus years that it takes for some of the best ;-).
