Thanks for the info, I had not heard about the folder being made. I have an AC556F
and a new stock would be good.

very, very cool. Even though I have an original AC556F with an original factory folder and an early stainless 80s Mini 14 with the stainless factory folder (A-Team replica even down to the exact federal ordnance flash hider) I may grab one of these

I got the chance to handle one of these at the SHOT show this year. It is very well made. I was impressed with it. The fit and finish was better than my OEM stock currently on my AC556F.

''Q: How close is it to the original?

A: Cast components are coming off the original Ruger molds and wood is also supplied by Ruger. New production wood is Walnut instead of the original Birch, and pistol grips are Polymer where the originals were Bakelite. The retention screw uses an Allen-head instead of the original slotted head design. Other than that, it is the original stock.

The A-TM stock has a length of pull of 13.5” just like the original.''

If they make it blued I'll buy, I have no reason to put a stainless folder on a blued gun and I don't like the Mini 14 enough to buy another.

There is a Cerecoat color that looks like a deep blue. I don’t remember the name but I used it on a rifle build for my grandson and it looks great.
