When I fire the gun with rounds in the mag, the gun often won't fully go back into battery. Very light spring tension.

With no mag in the gun, no round in the chamber, but the striker cocked, the gun has a real weak spring tension while the slide is forward.

I can move slide rearward with little effort. Striker tension is strong.

If the striker is not cocked, it has good spring tension. Gun fully goes back into battery.

Gun has after market guide rod, barrel and mainspring.

Any ideas?

Baffled in Buffalo (OK, I'm not actually in Buffalo)

If the tension of a striker spring is enough to make a difference I'd start with a Wolff extra power recoil spring.

If that doesn't work then do a standard power .40 version spring.

The added weight of the supressor can't be helping things.
