Saw one of the pro series DVTS "firearms" down at the LGS.

So today I went back with my mossberg SBS 10 inch gun.

the black ace is 21 OAL with a 8.5 barrel
my 500 is 19 OAL with 10 inch barrel.

The receiver is a inch longer the a 500 factory receiver. This makes me wonder how many internal parts are compatible.

IE: can you just buy mossy parts anywhere for it like a true mossberg or are you stuck ordering straight from black ace?

Then the ATI PG makes it a 1 inch longer also.
Never mind the door breacher. I found that kinda kool in a sick sorta way.
and was not accounted for when we pulled the tape out to measure.

The one I saw and handled had every last feature you could ask for that they sell.
the spring assist pump with vertical grip, door breacher, sig arm brace, rails, ATI PG.

Sig brace sucks really no other way to put it. It's just plain uncomfortable once on your arm and you lose to much mobility to even be tatti KOOL much less tactical.

While I have less then 300 into my 10 inch 500 with stamp ( gun was a gift at the age of 15 30 years ago)
You can still pay less then 500 for a used 500 and stamp and do what you want with it once approved.

Or buy a S12 or Vepr 12 and stamp and be cheaper too.
I paid 1100 for my S12 cut it to 12 with a stamp and parts were 200 for what I wanted on the gun.
so I'm in at 1500 on my S12
That's still 200 cheaper then the black ace "firearm"

Only reason I could even see buying one is the if you lived where you couldn't have NFA. But then it's not NY, MA, or Kali legal, anyways.

The only advantage I see just looking at the black ace Vs. my mossy is magazines.
While my gun is 3 shots compared to the black ace.
Both my guns shoot 3 inch stuff
The black ace is 2 3/4 only and that's with the receiver one inch longer.

My S12 can run 20 rnd drums 2 3/4. and 3 inch shells in the mags.

After seeing DVTS in person and strapping it to my forearm ( yes you strap it on)
I won't be spending 1600 and change on it that's for sure.

To me it has a big pile of CON's
and very very few PRO's

OH!
And just for a rant.
If they can let that out on the market with no stamp.

I WANT MY STAMP MONEY BACK for ALL my cans, SBS's SBR's and DD's.
I'll give the BATFE 200 for the MG though. that one's worth it.

After handling one 1st hand the hype is gone for good with that thing.

I was sorry once upon a time that I paid a stamp for my Mossy. when I could have bought a black ace.
Not so anymore.

Anyone else bought or handled one of these things? if so what's your opinion?

I've looked at them as my Super Shorty only has 2+1

For the money I'd just work over a Saiga12 and have semi auto. :devil

I have a Safety Harbor KEG12 made from one of their receivers.

I only have a pistol grip on it now, but it was registered as an SBS so I'm good to go with whatever stock configuration I'd like.

My Remy KEG12 holds 3 rounds, but the BAT holds 20 with the drum! :devil

I wouldn't buy one as a title 1 firearm but as an SBS it makes a nice, reliable high capacity package.
