I've come upon a stainless AWC Amphibian II for sale (built on a Ruger MKII). The guy wants $1300 for it. Its in pretty good condition, a few wear marks here and there. Definitely used. Is that a fair price? I've found several Blued AWC Rugers out there for a good bit less.

Vector Uzi & Sten MKII in government limbo. Maybe by 9/11 (my birthday)!

$1,300 is the price for a loaded Amphibian II...

Oddball...

The AWC Amphibian USED to be the one to beat. Today, there are even better options. Check out Joe Gaddini's offerings as well as Mark Serbu's.....

BTW: the Amphibian is a PITA to clean & the ballistics are less than spectacular. How does 43dB reduction sound to you?

Stymie, thanks for the links. Quite helpful, looks like I can get a new and quieter 22 for less than the guy wants for his used 22. That Siris suppressed Ruger looks SHARP and the claimed suppression level is way up there.

Many Thanks,
Oddball

That is way too much. I paid $795 for a Suppressed Ruger Mark II from John's Guns, direct. This is not rocket science, suppressing this weapon is a beginner's skillset. Mine is the quietest suppressed weapon I have ever heard. less than an airgun.

Here's an option...

Oddball...

...should you decide to go for the versatility of a QD suppressor:

40dB reduction (DRY) ain't too shabby & there's NO threads to bung up! You could use it on several host weapons!

...just a thought!
