? on form 3's and 4's

Im confused can someone straighten me out and the difference between form 3's vs. form 4's?

When a dealer transfers to another dealer they use a form 3. Any time an indivual is involved on any side of the transfer a form 4 must be used. It is confusing because many dealers state that a gun is on form 3 or on form 4. The form that was used to transfer the gun to the dealer is irrelevent. HTH.

Yep, form 3 for dealer to dealer.
Form 4 for dealer/manuf to individual (non-licensee)

Form 5 for no tax transfer (temp conveyance to gunsmith etc)
