I'm a silent member, rarely log in.

I picked up a '82 production closed bolt M10 in 9mm today and had a few questions.
First the details.
Serial: 82-0002XXX
It has the 'CB' stamped ahead of the 'M10' model stamping. It looks hand stamped, but nicely done in a larger fount.
And that trigger break yo, what the hell is up with that?
I swear it feels like the trigger stops, then the sear decides to release the hammer.

First, did these come with two buffer pads? Becuase I have two hard (old) white buffer pads, each are about 3/16" thick.
Any source for the 'flat head screw' style front take down pin?
Most importantly, springs, any replacement spring kits out there for the hammer and sear spings?

And what are these worth? If that is okay to ask.

And thank's in advance everyone.

I am not sure about the flat head screw pin, but you can get a nice two-piece pin from Practical Solutions. I use one on my FA M10/9mm.

It does indeed seem like it came with buffers. The FA did, and I can't image why the SA wouldn't need one as well.

Again, Practical Solutions or Lage Manufacturing has the replacement that you need.

Lage Link: (Look under "accessories.") https://www.max-11.com/MAX10.html#MAX10Upper

As far as the other parts you are looking for, your primary companies that can help you are as follows:

Lage Manufacturing will have performance parts and has a stellar reputation here.
https://max-11.com/

Practical Solutions has many original parts and accessories. Again, a stellar reputation here.

FTF Industries has a lot of original parts and magazines. I've had no complaints with doing business with them.

US Machinegun has a lot of original parts as well as other accessories. I've purchased from them once and had the service that I expected.

I can't speak as to your SA's value, but I am anxiously awaiting more knowledgeable responses as well. I'd love to have a SA M10/9mm to go with my FA M10/9mm. I haven't seen them come through often.

That’s a nice MAC you’ve got there. I purchased one a few years ago in about the same condition.

If you are interested and are really into MAC guns, you might consider getting “The Mac Man” book by Frank Iannamico and Don Thomas. It details the entire history of the original guns as well as all of the various spinoffs that came after.

I think I’m correct in saying this, (and I’m sure someone will correct me if I’m not) but the RPB closed bolt guns are much rarer than the open bolt guns. Open bolt guns were produced By RPB for a couple of years, where as the closed bolt ones only a few hundred were made before RPB closed its doors. The open bolt guns have the notoriety because of the ATF outlawing open bolts, making them the only ones available forever legally, but in numbers, only a few RPB closed bolt guns exist. After RPB went out of business, the tooling for M10s was sold to Leatherwood in Texas who made modified CB semis and full autos and the .380 M11 tooling was bought by SWD, who made those in CB of those as M12s.

Open bolt MACs have always been expensive, but recently the prices have gone off the deep end, where as the few CB guns have gone up moderately. It’s funny, there always seem to be more than a few open bolt MACs for sale on GB, and each one touts how rare they are, whereas you rarely see a CB RPB MAC and no one seems to pay attention.

Anyway, enjoy your gun!
