Has anyone built a Galil from a parts kit? I found some kits and they have receivers and I was wondering how difficult they are to build? can it be done at home or does it need to go to a gunsmith? Thanks!!

Just dont buy one from Sarco, Inc. I bought one and it was a pile of Sh*t. I have never seen something so beat to hell. Ended up re-selling it cuz it wasn't worth my time in that condition.

There are gunsmiths that will build one, I wouldn't attempt it unless you have the correct tools and watch someone build for the first time. I had considered doing it but at the time the only receiver you could get was a Hesse and I'm staying as far away from their stuff as humanely possible. If you do decide to have one built, get ready to pay around $1100 for the kit, US parts and the build. I also have been in contact with one that will do the build and he does very good work.
