I had time to modify the closed bolt to open bolt today. I ran strings of 5 rounds to test. It's a fast little sucker. ROF is 2275 RPM suppressed. Wow. I hope by adding the sear plate, the bolt weight will increase and slow it down. I am using the low weight pistol bolt so it does not have the mass of the rifle bolt.

Sweet! Let me know how things progress. I made sure to save a copy of each revision. Can figure out some way to make as many as you need.

The flat one is definitely the sleekest.

I guess a conversion is possible.

I'm so full of giggles right now.

I got a brief chance to test the new sear catch assembly this morning. I installed the 15-22 rifle mainspring instead of the pistol mainspring. It ran 2 full 25 round mags in a row, one full mag and one 5 round bursts. I think it works great. I will test more this weekend and get some ROF numbers.

Slightly off topic, but is that a quick change barrel adapter, and if so, what kind? I've heard of folks using Dolos, but that looks different.

Yes it is. It's the Cry Havoc QCB. The system allows me to quickly switch between 20" 5.56, 10" 5.56, 8" 300 BO and 4.5" 22 LR barrels. I like the Cry Havoc system because it has no springs to get soft from the heat of FA like the DOLOs and LEO systems. It uses a camming locking system. It also makes cleaning AR barrels easier/faster.

Any modifications needed to the Cry Havoc QCB or 10/15 receiver? I know DOLOS requires a minor modification. I'm wanting to do a quick change setup as well, but have not yet decided on which system. You have good points regarding the heat and springs...

You could do a dedicated 22 kit with a regular barrel nut. I just wanted to switch between calibers quickly like an AR upper.
