There are several factors why you should try the AR-15 for home defense. Firstly, you need to understand that this gun can be customized to any extent. You can use it to take down multiple targets. Since the weapon has a 20-30 round magazine capacity, you need not worry at all. The main thing is that this firearm is lightweight and highly versatile. When you look into several weapons, you can conclude that the AR-15 is easy to use. It is a fine gun that is suited for beginners. People shoot better with a carbine. If you ever don’t believe his, you have to go to the shooting range and try it out.

People shoot it well allright, but you better be loaded with frangible if you're going to be shooting it inside your house so you don't also shoot your family through the walls. Also vs a pistol round, you better not have very high regard for your hearing because that may be permanantly damaged. Lastly, vs a pistol, it's hard to store safely in a bedroom without spending a lot of money on a special safe, vs a $100 pistol safe that works just great. When you have kids around these things darn well better be under lock and key.

I see you just joined have this is your first post. Did you join just to convince us to use ar-15's for home defense? You sound like a Russian / Iranian / North Korean plant but I can't imagine what you're going to gain from encouraging machine gun owners to try an ar-15. Most have several lol.

Welcome!
ARs, as well as other "assault weapons", shouldn't be the first choice for home/personal defense, IMHO, simply because of the political implications that it brings. An anti-2A prosecutor will try to say that you are a bloodthirsty monster looking for an excuse to shoot someone.
