Anyone seen any good deals on Uzi mags lately?

I know someone looking for some good used surplus 32-round mags and I asking the community if anyone has recently seen or purchased some of these and if so, what condition did they turn out to be.

I don't see RTG listing their 'bulk packs of 10' any more and that's where most of mine came from.

It appears that my investment in magazines is doing better than my retirement account.

I bought his last box o 50 mags back in spring 2019. I beleive that was the end of his bulk mags deal.

And what a dealio that was. My brother and I split one of those boxes. Only 2-3 of them even had a bit of surface rust on them. I really didn't need 25 more uzi mags, but sometimes I just can't walk away from a good deal.

I split a box of those RTG gunsmith specials with someone and bought two more myself.

Used a bunch to trade 2:1 for GG mags and kept a rather large pile.

Also traded a few for the 25 rounders just to have a few of them.

There was a guy on GB that was selling the AA 20 round UZI mags with the colt cut for 10 bux each.

I picked 23 of them up for 250 shipped for my colt 9mm carbine and AA pistol

Best bet is to check GB 2x a day and sign up for the IWI website restock alert.

After that you will probably need to hunt around and pick a few up here and there for what you think is a decent price.

That RTG gunsmith special has been long gone but was great while it lasted. Like others 3 boxes of them and less then 6 mags needed refinished.

Next best thing?

i remember early mags did not lock the AR Bolt Open (maybe those are closer to the uzi pattern?)

Never used the one Colt mag that came with the carbine so I have no idea if it locks back or not it's sealed in factory plastic as it came from Colt.

The company that makes the Colt stamped mags is metal form.
You can get the Colt mags marked Colt or not marked Colt and new production mags are 60 a pop if/when you can find them.
Unmarked metal form mags are about 40 if i remember correctly.
I avoid them due to cost

UZI mags do NOT lock the bolt back and are very easy to modify with a mill but I got mine all pre cut.

I just use the UZI 20 rounders i mentioned in above post.
It looks good with the short mags.

Thank you for mentioning the 25 round UZI magazines that APEX has in stock.
They do occasionally go on sale, for some special day.

I prefer the 25-rounders to the 32-rounders.

I will be looking to see how that Galil stock mod came out!
It took a bit of effort to source those Galil stocks and some back and forth to finalize that purchase.
They are a popular choice to adapt to other guns.
