Much to my suprise, I haven't seen any posts indicating anyone's received their new accessory yet. I got my new issue of SAR and amphibian's mag release in the mail this afternoon. My faith in the USPS has been restored! I have noticed that the mail service between my sister in FL and me in Nevada is usually quicker than closer states for some strange reason.

I haven't installed it yet, but it looks great and I'm glad I bought it. Haven't cracked open the safe but the color looks very close as well. These things aren't flimsy and I have little doubt it will greatly assist mag changes at our matches. Thanks amphibian for getting these built and shipped so fast.

Just installed the extended mag release and I LOVE IT. The colormatch is perfect, as are the fit and function with several different empty mags. It looks better on the gun than the photos depict and the speed and ease of removal is superb! Thanks again amphibian!

FWFW, I just discovered my C&S Metalwerkes 72 round drum WON'T fit using the extended mag release. The release is too long to allow for complete insertion and contacts the drum before lockup occurs. I've seen and handled several Vector drums but I can't say if they will also be affected. No biggie really, a simple 2-3 minute job to switch to the stock release for matches that don't require a mag change.

Vegas SMG,
I'm glad you like the release. I hope you like it as much as I do. Yes, I also have a C&S drum and just figured it won't work with it either....oops...sorry about that. I rarely use my drum since the competitions I go to usually can be done in less than 50 rounds per stage and there is a mandatory mag change for each stage. I personally find the drum a bit bulky for competitions but they do work great. I only bring the drum out when bringing friends out to the range for an impressive 72 round dump.
I'm sure that you guys will find it to be a small inconvenience for what it gets you.
Thanks guys.

Amphibian, The mag release is GREAT! I only load the drum up for matches that don't require a mag change and as I stated, a 2-3 minute job to switch the release is really no problem. I'm sure you won't have any complaints from any of the buyers and please don't think for a minute I'm unhappy with it. Aside from the one minor limitation, I'm 100% pleased with it. Everything about the deal was first rate and you're doing the C3 community a HUGE service with inovations like your top covers and these releases. Once again, THANKYOU!

Usually, its a dump from the MINI that is already fast. Like in my animated gif below. A lot of fun!!

Vegas, thank you very much for the kind words. Just be careful jamming mags in your gun quickly during competition. When I first put mine on, I thought I might run my hand into the extended release but I haven't yet as I grip the mags low.
I think you will find it greatly speeds your mag changes like a dream.

I was out of town this weekend but found the mag release in the PO this afternoon as I expected.

Thanks amphibian for the nice addition to my UZI. Like dustindu4, I am awaiting my approval. Hopefully it will be soon. I've been "Pending" since May 16th. :confuse :confuse :confuse

being a lefty i'm hoping that i'll be able to get more leverage on the end of the release without having to reposition my grip too much.....i mocked it the other night and reaching the end of the release shouldn't be a problem....it'll be the spring pressure that may warrant the use of 2 fingers.....i'll find out later this evening....

just got back from the range and i must say this heer' mag release rocks!!!...being a lefty, this thing works better for me than it will for a righty...all i gotta do is slide my pinky down to the mag release...**it hits my finger right about at the first knuckle and i don't even have to adjust my grip**... push lightly and the mag drops out while i'm reaching for another.....awesome...

thanx, amphibian....

Ok, I spoke to my friend again and he doesn't mind doing another (I guess since I'm the one doing the leg work :) )
Same as before, we would like to get 10 people. I hope you guys see now that these things are definitely worth it.
It worked out to $1.38 each to send them 1st class mail and delivery confirmation.
Plus the mag catch it totals around $10.
So it is like $30 each that you're paying to get the steel cut out, professionally TIG welded, sandblasted and parkerized. I think that is a steal!!

Got it!

I only get to the POB once or twice a week so I didn't get mine until tonight. It is installed and works great with all the mags that I have.

From what I can tell I got the best looking one in the bunch. Workmanship on the welding and finish is superb.

My stubby little fingers are wa-a-ay too short to drop the empty mag with my strong hand while I get a spare mag with the other, but with a full mag in my weak hand I can bump the release and the empty mag drops free and clear letting me reload quickly.

Thanks to Amphibian and UzuTalk for bringing a good product to market !

The first two pics posted were from my website that I took off my website because it was one of the first catches we did which were longer. I've had pictures of the current length catches on my site for over about a month now.
Here is one of them:

Thanks,
Amphibian
