A Rare South African Bird! But is it even legal in the U.S.???

I can tell from the receiver markings that this is indeed a South African LM4 Semi Auto rifle. But if you look closer, you will see it also has the third pin which is no bueno. What do you guys think about this auction listing?

That looks a lot like my LM5's receiver, including the 3rd pin hole, but the selector and the flash suppressor are not. Neither are common on Vektor rifles here methinks.

Not an H5 receiver... markings and safety are different. The "single shot" selector hints that this is a late import?

Definitely NOT legal. 3rd hole = a machine gun. I'm surprised RIA didn't pick up on that. Whoever wins that is winning a felony.

I messaged them about it being possibly illegal and they sent this:

"Lot 796 - Thank you for your question. If the receiver had a “cosmetic” 3-hole receiver, this should be ok. This item however has been pulled for a full review with our describer staff to verify. Due to this it will not be offered in the auction tomorrow. Do let me know if I can be of any additional assistance at this time.
