A question of compatibility of part

I have a CAI Golani in 5,56. It's a great weapon if I run steel case ammunition. However, with brass not so much. The culprit seems to be the extractor spring. That got me to thinking. Would an extractor spring from an AK47 or AK74 work as a good replacement? Also, what parts are compatible with the weapon? Is there a list somewhere? Help if you can, thanks.

Sounds like your chamber may be rough. Run a dry cotton swab all around the inside, including the throat. If it leaves strands, you'll need to polish the chamber and/or throat.

Interchangeable parts include Grip, Dust Cover, Recoil Buffer, and Bolt Carrier

I did the cotton test right after I had a stuck case. It didn't pull any fibers. But I polished it anyway. I couldn't find any indication of burrs on the brass case after removing it. When I press on the extractor with my finger, it moves easily. That's why I think that the spring is bad.

Apexgunparts has Extractor Springs, listed as Good Condition, for $3.00

EDIT: It shows they are Out Of Stock at the moment
