Hi All,

I saw people use 8.5 inches threaded barrel on their full size Uzi. I want to buy one, but it appears to me that once a muzzle device is installed, the barrel nut will not have enough room to unthread completely from the front trunnion to remove the barrel. Am I right?

Thanks,
Cal

The barrel can still be removed. It will have to be moved forward as you unscrew the barrel nut. The nut will be captured between the barrel flange and the muzzle device. You will need another barrel nut to use a different barrel without having to remove the muzzle device from the short barrel. There are suppliers that offer a barrel nut that will clear a three lug device if that is what you want to use.

One like this. Where the three lug adapter is set with thread locking compound and the nut is not relieved for clearance.
