The adapter holds the mag exactly like the mag that was made for this upper by Shockwave minus the extra piece on the back. It has functioned well in our hands as well as outside of us with the M11 version and with the M10/9 version. Since it is printed with carbon fiber it appears to hold up well too.

The Shockwave Z-Mag S-31 mags have re profiled feed lips that angle the cartridges down to function on the Max-31 uppers. They are not stock Z-Mags/Zytel/ PAM2 mags which angle the cartridges up. Isn't he point of a Max-31 adapter is to use stock Z-Mags/Zytel/Pam2 mags so modified feed lip mags are not necessary?

I guess I don't understand what you're asking. We have used new and used unmodified standard Shockwave mags with no modifications and they run well. We are still testing the adapter but mostly for longevity as the adapter works quite well so far. We are NOT using SA PAM or Zytel mags in this adapter but Z-mags only which is what we originally stated. Perhaps you could try the other mags with the adapter but the Z-mags (even with their sizing problems) appear to be the best replacement magazine and they are the ones we chose to use with this adapter.

Here's an update to the PS/31 Zmag Adapter. This is our 2nd Edition. These will be shipping to beta testers shortly and should be available for sale very soon. In this version, we've incorporated our paddle magazine release and it is meant to stay inserted into the upper while changing the magazine. Projected retail is: $79.99.

LoL, unmodified Zmag with the the shit filed out of it. I wish Zmags had some kind of quality control.

All jokes aside, this is a really cool design and I hope it works. I haven’t bought any of the Lage uppers that takes the Suomi magazines or the aftermarket mags. However, with a design like this, I might actually get one.

I wonder how the print will hold up.

We are looking for a beta tester for our PS/31 Zmag Adapter in a 31 series upper for the M11A1 380 gun. If you own one and you are willing to test out our adapter please contact me at: tina@macmachineguns.com. We'll supply the adapter, you must have the upper, ammo and unmodified Zmags.

Thx...t

I was a Beta Tester for Sam's/Practical Solutions M10 Shockwave Z Mag Adapter. (For a picture see Post #47, because idk how to post pics via the goofy URL method here, sorry. ) The black carbon fiber printed adapter looks great and is of top quality, just like all of Sam's products and Master MACSmith services. I found it worked flawlessly with my new 30rd magazines. The 50rd Shockwave mags had to down loaded 5-7 rds. to function, again there were all brand new mags. ? BTW, Do you guys have issues with the 50rd. mags?
I believe Sam's new M10 adapter is an awesome must have item for your Lage M10 31 & 31k uppers; especially for the folks that already have a ton of the original Shockwave mags. Yes Richard/Lage Mfg. has started making his modified new SW mags, which I'm sure will be Perfect as well... but we now have two (2) pure win-win choices from the two very best MAC Family (Title II) Innovative manufacturers!

My disclaimer: I have no, none, zero financial interest or compensation from Sam/Practical Solutions or Richard/Lage Mfg.

I'm sure Lage has their hands full now that the ATF finally approved the other 556 uppers, but these mags really could use a speed loader as well.

So the adapter would be nice because I already have Zmags, but if I want to run drums and mags at the same time I’m assuming dedicated mags are better?

Edit: is the adapter only for the m10 anyways?

Oh man… I even looked for it in their site too . Thanks!

Assuming it will work with dc31 even though it doesn’t say?
It should, just based on the photos of the DC-31 mags.

Worst case, you can do like many of us did before these loaders were available and get a Tapco Sten loader and dremil a slot in the back of it.
