So Lage took the plunge and is having a bunch of them made up. Good move on their part.

From the website:

The DC-31 Magazines are in production but we do not have an ETA at this time. To be notified when we have some available please send this e-mail along with the quantity you would like reserved.

Looks like they’re in pre-production. Good to see them stepping up to meet the demand. I have 8 or 10 of the ZMag-S, but more is always better. And in this industry, it’s best to buy all you think you will need when stuff is available. Because when they’re gone, there is no guarantee these will be any more.

That's great. I glad Richard's doing it.
I was hoping he would make an adapter to use the regular Z Mags but it's all good.

I believe the feed lips have to be adjusted also for optimal cartridge presentation angle if I’m not mistaken due to the slight angle of the mag well on the max 31 series platform

Once Richard gets the process down, I wonder if he’d consider doing a run of 50-round mags. Seems I’ve seen people asking for those off and on as well.

It might not have made sense when drums were inexpensive, but now maybe?

I think it’s great that he is making these.
For competitions with 30 round Mag limit they will really come in handy for some people.
I don’t really see why he would bother with the 50 round mags since we have coffin mags and drums.
And I wonder what the “DC” stands for?

Well if you’re selling uppers compatible with ever becoming scarce magazines, you have to do something or the uppers will become less desirable. It was a business decision that to me seems inevitable in Lage manufacturing’s part.

Correct. But.. there is enough room in the magwell to let an unmodified Z Mag sit perpendicular with an angled adapter. I know I made one for the Max -31A and it worked very well.

I should send it to Richard so he can upgrade it, make it look sexy and sell it to the peeps.

I was going to sent it to Richard for R&D but I sold it to someone here. I can't remember who.
I wish the 3D printing guys would make some.

I bought it from you. I still have it and it works well. If Richard is interested I'd send it to him.

We've been working on a Practical Solution for the absence of Shockwave mags for the 31 series of Max uppers. We've been keeping it under our hats, but now is as good a time as any to announce it. Here's a video of the PS/31 Zmag Adapter prototype. The first one shipped to a beta tester, yesterday.

Here's a video I just published to Youtube (Eric Schneider, our son, is the star of the video and the inventor of the adapter):
