JoeBee, you are an optimist. I hope you are right and the wait times drop, but I am a pessimist at heart. I think it will be a year before we get back to 8 month wait times.

You are correct, I am an optimist. There in really nothing I can do but wait. Another member mentioned that I could have my Class 3 dealer send it to Richard at BWE and have it all brought up to smg specs during the wait time. I wasnt aware I could do this. Sounds like a good idea to me????

Yes you can send it off for repairs/updates as long as your dealer is willing to do it. My SOT has no problem sending an smg off for work while I am waiting on the Form 4 to get approved. If nothing else it gets it out of his way for a couple of months. I've heard some dealers are harder to work with, but I have been fortunate so far.

My dealer doesnt really want to do it, says it is a lot of hassle. I told him I did not expect them to do it for free and offered to pay whatever he deemed appropriate. They are thinking about it.

I received a call from my Class 3 dealer Friday evening saying my stamp had arrived. I picked up my Uzi on Saturday and slept with it Saturday evening, lol. It took 11 months from time of submission. I am told that there are only 5 reviewers and they average 23 a day. That the EFile system has streamlined the process in that computers can check all the facts, serial numbers, dealer numbers, addresses etc and that this has sped up the process so much that the expectation is the approval process for a Form 4 will be approximately 6 months going forward. They also noted that NFA sales have slowed.
