Just remember, it gets hot. It's not a sub gun .... prob 3-4 mags max and you can't hold it without gloves.

Curious if a Proof Research barrel might allow more mags...

With the heat factor being a consideration, how best would you describe the barrel profile ? Heavy, gov., ect ? Would you get the same profile if barrel was replaced for new or caliber change ?

I can remember way back before Barry (as he was known in his youth) was occupying the White House, when I could afford to get an M16 barrel too hot to hold. In the last three years I've shot less than 500 rounds of 5.56x45 ammo in the M16 and an AR-15 combined. Needless to say, though I've got an M11-380, I'm not on the list to buy a MAX11A1-15.

Best of luck; and safe, fun shooting to those of you who buy them!

MHO, YMMV, etc. Be well.

^^^ Which president outlawed the slidefire? "Barry?" ^^^

I recall ammo being rather cheap, aside from the Sandy Hook scare. And you could get a complete upper receiver for $199 shipped back then.

Unfortunately for me, I do not have the space or structural capability in the place where I dwell to acquire at low cost and store large quantities of ammo. In addition, I would incur the wrath of the local fire fighting force and my dwelling insurer were my dwelling a store house for large quantities of ammo. It seems most fire fighters are reluctant to go anywhere near a burning building that has vast quantities of ammo inside.
As such, for the most part I have to buy ammo at the prevailing rate.
MHO, YMMV, etc.

The slower it heats, the slower it cools. I imagine the service life of an M4 barrel in a panic situation is about 4 minutes.

I received mine yesterday, ran 300 rounds thru it and it ran flawlessly.

Here’s a couple of videos I made before it got too dark.

Frangible ammo at 15 yards

Thank you, videos and or pics greatly appreciated. Curious how these look with certain stocks or optics. Still waiting on mine. I’ll post when I get the notification and receive it.

I was worried about my stock being to flimsy and ill proportioned to the gun but it worked out fine.

Looks a little puny but I’m not going to be butt stroking anyone with it and when it’s folded gives the slimmest possible profile.

Another plus is that it accentuates the slightly muzzle heavy feel and that helps controlling muzzle rise.

I won’t be changing mine.

As far as it’s “looks”, try as a might, I can’t see when I’m shooting it and I’m not interested in what others may think.

Trump didn’t but the atf did under his watch. Which was overturned.

I’m thinking a fluted barrel would be better.

That’s my set up exactly. Except …

I got a primary arms red dot like $130. It’s full auto no need to be super accurate. I did screw in the stock rather than leave it with the push button removal. To make it more sturdy. Shoots fine.

I put a single port saker brake on it.

As far as controllability is concerned, I have a 13 inch Ruger AC556 and I find that the Lage M11A1/15 upper is waaaaay more controllable than the Ruger.

The Lage upper is a whole lot smoother ride than the AC556.

This thing is truly a hellraiser.

That is also the same setup I will have. I don’t plan on changing the folding stock either. Now I’m even more excited to get it

Yes it’s way controllable but I have only 4 mags through it. Testing. Allowed a friend to fire 1.5 of those.

I used lithium grease on the bolt carrier.

Folding stock makes this very portable esp w a single port brake. But it’s louder that way.

Never received a shipment notice, but mine arrived today! Unfortunately, came down with food poisoning from Olive Garden at lunch...so spent a few hours yaking into the porcelain throne and after that was happy just to stop puking. :(

Will have to test it tomorrow. :)
