WTK: Source for fullsize Uzi short barrels....

Bought a used MK-25 suppressor made by Tim Bixel for a full size Uzi. I was out with my C3 and we tried it on. By design the suppressor replaces the barrel nut. The baffle stack starts about 1 1/2 inches in the tube. An Uzi (fullsize) barrel doesn't fit into the baffle stack and is too long to be before the stack.

Oooops.

I tried called Tim at South Central Research, but it was late in the afternoon and he hasn't called me back yet.

Do these require special shorty Uzi barrels? Where can I find one?

Don't know if they should require shorty barrels... But www.Trosusa.com was selling what they call FBI barrels. They stick out of the Uzi about 1/2 inch or so... I think they were about 8.5 inches long versus the long 10 inch ones. Nick named FBI barrels because the FBI used them in their jackets so the barrels would not catch on anything...

BTW Mike is a good guy and ordered from him before....

Just to add to the reply from subguns... You can cut down your barrel... But you will have to get it recrowned...
