WTK: FNC flash hider differences: Howco shorter barrel gun v. GunSouth longer bl ones

My understanding is that the flash hiders are different for these guns.

I have a Howco imported one w sear. I lack the flash hider and need a replacement. It has the shorter one, right?

Anyone know where/how to get those?

Check gunbroker. There’s been a few parts on there lately. Also check with forum member Fuatos. He usually has some parts.

Correct, my understanding is the Howco imports all had the short flash hiders. (I believe the longer ones facilitate the launching of rifle grenades, something to keep in mind if you ever have the need for such a feature, hehe)

As for where to source one, as dubagel said, Fuatos is your best bet, in addition to periodically checking GunBroker, or posting a WTB ad here.

Just as a note, the short FNC flash hide is the long one with the grenade launching support sleeve cut off. So if you have a long flash hider, you can make a short one out of it.
