recently i figured out that an AMD65 pistol grip does wonders to an M44's ergonomics, i dont think the M44 will ever be worth more than what it is. considering that, if you were me, would you drill a hole in your stock for the purpose of installing a pistol grip? i included a pic of my creation also. thanks!

I wouldn't. I think it's ugly and I wonder if it will be such a great addition. Then again, it's your rifle.

If you like it, do it. It's yours. Look what I did to my Stemple. There probabaly aint anyone here that like the looks of it after I modified it.....but I do. And since it's mine, I'll do what I damned well please.

Looks like a really nice 44.

I'm all about modifing stuff, but I try to limit it to items that shouldnt gain value later on...ie old mismatched 44 instead.

You might check the arsenal of manufacturer, year, country, etc first before deciding whether or not to drill it.

I thought my old polish was just another 44 and sold it, but now its hard to find and WAY more $$$.

if its comfortable to shoot that way and you like it, Do It. Its a cheap gun so what can you hurt. Dont let JJ BS you about the stemple being ugly, its a improvement IMO, fun to shoot as well.

I think it's ugly an impracticle, but it's not my gun. Whatever trips your trigger.

i bought mine brand new, its dated 1947 (dont see it collectable being post war) i removed the varnish and stain using acetone, giving it that blonde color, im not sure if i want to re-stain it or not.. i think of this rifle as a truck rifle

ive just always had a thing for pistol grips

those tri-rail things are going too far, crossing the border of 'completely ridiculous':roflmao
