I got a deal on one of these the other day (pawn shop). I'd love to get some extra parts (stock, flash hider from a Terry, mags, etc). So if anyone has stuff please PM me ;)

Anyway, one issue I found was the rear trigger housing screw is stripped. I plan on asking a machinist I know if he can bore it bigger, put in a steel insert, and hook me up with a different screw. I also considered seeing if he can do something similar with the other screws too so that I could get all flat head screws (its mixed flat and allen screws...yeah 2 different allen sizes too).....plus then I wouldnt worry about stripping the threads from the AL receiver and possibly could go to a more common thread pitch for the screws.

Does anyone know if these were factory threaded (mine is not)? If so what thread pitch?

Anyone suppress one? SBR one? etc.

Any info would be appreciated. i figured out how to get it apart, but there isnt much for info out there on these.

Thanks

EDIT to add: And any idea how to get the rear stock mount/sling mount out?

Double Edit: I searched through the last posts on Linda's too. The experimental F/A is cool. Too bad not much info is floating around out there. Also, anyone know if Northwest Arms is still around? http://northwestarms-le3.com/about_us

Wow, these are extremely rare they were only around for a few years in certain regions of the country. The Carbines all came with threaded barrels but I am not sure about the pistols. They are interesting but parts and magazines are so rare its very expensive to maintain them.

Linda pistol

I've had a Terry carbine since the '70's. The only spare parts I've EVER seen advertised were stripped trigger housings on GB. Mags are near impossible, and as far as I can tell, are NOT interchangeable with any other mags. I have modified a mag from the earlier version by, IIRC, J&R Engineering to work, but the only others I've found were some old Ramlines mad for SIG 9mm. They would feed, if I held them in the gun with the palm of my hand, but were too narrow at the front to be modified to fit the catch. Hi-Power, S&W, factory Sig, Ruger, Beretta and Taurus mags will not fit & feed. If you find a source of mags or parts, please post the info!
p.s., As for shooting, mine is one of the sweetest shooting pistol-cal. carbines I've ever fired.

Random fun fact, these were made right down the road from me in Parma, ID. Which if you've ever been to Parma is not something you'd expect, since it's a little podunk town that's hard to get to from pretty much anywhere. Eventually I'd like to get one of these for that reason, if nothing else.

I handled and shot one of the carbines many years ago....a nice gun although a bit heavy..built like a brick outhouse lo. I had a chance to purchase a pistol a few years ago but passed.

Realize I am dredging up an old thread but I figured better this than starting a new one. I picked up a Linda pistol a year or so ago and was able to acquire a scarce accessory...a threaded barrel nut. It's threaded in what appears to be 3/4-10 so when my MAC 2-stage shows up in a few months, I'll have a suppressed Linda :)

As for the gun itself, it is very well mad, shoots reliably, and is very accurate. Mags are a bit expensive at around $60 a pop. Mine came with 2 and I haven't picked up anymore. Rumor has it that hi-power mags fit but I haven't tried yet.

Talk to Kenneth at CDNN, if my memory serves me correctly, they were selling magazines a few years back and may have a few left?

Ahh we are men of similar taste. I am also trying to find a decently priced claridge. (you may have been joking, I want one). CDNN had them a few years back for like 350.

I like the oddballs. I've got a d-max 90p, the linda, a calico 950, feather rav 9, american 180.... Still looking for a federal engineering, algimec, spectre, volunteer, claridge, gwinn, wesco, etc etc etc.

Missed a JP Foote MK22 last week...sold for more than I wanted to pay.

customer brought one in awhile back but I wasn't going to pay the $600 he wanted for it. can't help you on most of your list, but do have a spectre...its a little weird though...apparently built up from parts....the decocker works but safety wont stay on it just pops back to fire....I got in it well and it has been on the wall at the shop for a high price for a long while (more to show than to sell or else I'd have to come off the pricing from 7-10 years ago when I was looking at them. feel free to PM me if you want to talk about it though as I have other interests that would be better suited than leaving it on the wall at the shop.

He also has a Terry for the same buy it now. I paid $400 for mine. Can't wait to get my MAC 2 stage since I've got a 3/4x10 adapter for the Linda.

I purchased a "like new" Wilkinson Linda Pistol a few years ago for $520 with two mags. Haven't shot it much because I didn't want to break anything and not be able to fix it. Good to know I can now get some parts.

Get out there and shoot it! There's 18 and 31 round mags on the site in 1, 5, and 10 packs.

Just out of curiosity, how much would someone sell two of these for (sequential serial numbers)? Is there any advice as to a starting point?

Additional value of sequential serial numbers is always a bit subjective. I'd be interested, shoot me a PM if you have an idea of what you want for one or both (assuming you want to keep them together). They made so few of them it's hard to really know what they're worth.
