I am new to HKs but I can’t figure out why this was drilled. The hole has been drilled on both sides. I was interested in purchasing this until I saw these holes. This is on a 93. Thanks for any information.

I’ve got some original metal “semi” HK lowers if you end up getting that.

Thanks I ended up passing on it. I may see him again in a month or so. He will have to lower the price to compensate for the drilling.
What does a metal semi lower cost any how?

If you are looking for an original German metal HK91 semi lower, it's going to be pricey.
If you are ok with a surplus SEF G3 lower that is clipped, it would be less, but still not cheap. https://hkparts.net/all-parts/hkp-hk-91-polymer-to-metal-trigger-group-conversion-kit/
Probably cheapest would be a clipped polymer lower like PTR sells. https://www.ptr-us.com/product/th1/
I'd troll HKPro and find something used.

So that works without modification with the factory PTR91 trigger pack? Not a bad price - there has to be a catch, or a mod. required?
I doubt any modifications are needed...maybe mild fitting/dremel. Remember there are different shelfs out there and not all clones have the standard HK9x "semi" shelf (e.g., SP5 has a different one). A factory HK93, should be the standard semi shelf, though.
