I just picked up a mini Uzi pistol.

On the side of the receiver that has the safety it is marked Uzi Mini then in a deeper marking it says pistol.

It is marked Vector arms on the receiver above the safety which is marked in Hebrew.

Then under the receiver on the back end it is marked, Action Arms Phila PA then under that it says IMI Israel.

So when was it made and by who?

What is it worth?

Sounds like it's a original IMI receiver put together by Vector Im not sure how much they are worth but some one here should know.

One more piece of info, it has one of the rear sights a peep sight and the other is a notch sight.

vector modified the rear sites on these mini pistols.

Vector ended up with some post-ban IMI Mini Uzi carbine recievers from Action Arms that were never completely assembled into guns but had all of the Action Arms Ltd import stampings on the rear of the gun. In late September of 2004 it was decided that 200 of these recievers would be used to create a Mini Uzi "pistol" variant.
The first Mini Uzi pistol was built in November of 2004 on an Action Arms marked IMI model B semi Mini carbine receiver that was modificed to read "mini uzi pistol". This is why you have markings from vector, imi and action arms. When they ran out of these receivers they began using cut down group industries receivers and DES marked german lower grip assembiles.

does yours have a sling loop on the back of the gun? If not, it is one of the very first ones that vector made. (I have the first! :D )

Im not sure on a value, but being that its an original IMI receiver, it should be worth more than one of the group industries ones. Problem is, I havent seen one of these for sale for a LONG time.

Thank you for the info.

Yes mine has a sling loop on the back.

So if I got it for $840, I guess I did good .

How hard would it be to remove the sling loop and put a folding stock in it's place? Of course after SBR paper work is in hand.

thats a DAMN good price!!!
sling loop should be fairly simple to remove, im not sure if they are just riveted on there or what, but once its removed there will just be a small hole in the back of the gun... the folding stock mounts to a plate that gets welded over this area anyways so it wont cause any problems!
keep us posted with updates!

a month or so ago down in houston i spied a Vector Mini pistol, i believe it was a GI reciever, but the reciever was refinished stainless.. they wanted $1300 for it and the same for a similar full size pistol, so you did good with an IMI reciever for $840, whoever you bought it from must not have been very Uzi savvy.

I really hate the IMI now IWI folding stocks on the mini and micro.

So I think I am going to build this up like a prototype I saw years ago in Israel with a galil style folder.

It might not be the orthodox approach, but I think I will like it. I loved it years ago when I shot it but if not, then I will change it.

No I have not looked at those stocks.

They look a lot better than the original equipment stocks to me, but they are a lot of money.

I have a spare Ace that I think I will use, for now.

mine will look very similar to yours in finish. But it will have a galil style stock on it.
