What is the Original Mac 10 Hangar Strap? RPB MAC 10 Machine Gun 1980

Hello All,

I have a question about the Mac 10 hangar Strap, I know can buy a "reproduction" Strap assembly from Cobray.com and many other retail outlets.

But what is the original strap? It seems the earlier photos of the Mac 10 showed a strap that clipped on and off on the Mac 10 without the button type you see on the M11 and the reproduction straps.

All the ones I have ever had were made of a heavy webbing, like on an old Garand sling.

The one in your second post looks correct for an early strap. The one in the auction looks like it might be made of material like nylon webbing (like a seat belt)

How are you defining original? Are you looking for an original strap that came with the NIB preauction Ingram 10? What I received had an unmarked green canvas strap with the metal clip. I'm not sure if they also came in black but it's possible. Timberwolf makes a perfect copy at a reasonable price. I have several straps and at this point , I couldn't tell which is original or copy.

Same here. Mine is black with a snap. 1980 gun but I didn't buy it new.
