I would love a transferable PM-63. There can't be more than a handful on the registery. Ive never seen one.

I recall seeing one up for sale in 2016 or so, but other than that, that was the only transferable one I've seen. I think it was about $11,000 at the time, pretty good considering the condition it was in and how rare they are here. I think it might be easier to just become a SOT Class 2 manufacturer and build one from a parts kit lol

Haha, I hate to tell you, but I may never sell it. But if I do I’ll certainly let you know :)

Crazy all the Tommy responses...my Thompson is almost my least fav. to shoot. Go figure.
MP5 or MP5SD for the win!

but for "fun" the hk51 and the micro Uzi are mucho "fun" in their own special ways.

The Sterling is pretty smooooth.

HK sear is the bomb though- opens a lot of doors for ya.

Thanks man! and yup, it's a transferable :) though sadly I don't own it at this time, CT machine gun law states they can't be selectfire, it can only be full auto or semi, no choice. Long story short, my cousin (who lives in a much more gun friendly state) owns it under his name for time being, I only gave him the money he needed, and then once I move out I'll have it transferred over to me; though I have shot about 700 rounds with it when I did have it around when I visited him

I also saw Ian's review and shooting on it and was a bit surprised by his comments during shooting, I've never had issues like the ones he explained (except for the poor sights and slide being a little too close for comfort lol). I put a dab of red paint on the tip of the front sight but it only made it a little less bad, though I can still hit 12 inch targets at around 35 yards no problem, I'd say that's pretty good for an open-bolt with a 6 inch barrel :) Never had problems of gas spitting out into my face either, in fact I think it does a really good job of expelling the gas away from you; it might've been just his that had those issues, it's typical for PM-63s in armories to have a lot of wear on them, all of the ones I saw were in pretty poor shape.

One thing I've noticed regarding gas from subguns is it seems to be more noticable in humid climates, like where I live in the south. People out in the desert like Lage and Vegas seem to have no problem with it. So perhaps it is dependent on location? In any case the PM-63 is on my shooting wish list now!

I've shot an MP5, M16, and all the macs so my experience is limited but my favorite is the Max 31a with drums. However, the MP5 was fun, acurate, and natural to use for an exprienced shooter out of the gate and the only reason I don't think it's my favorite is that it is so drama free.

Lage Max-31A is like a tricked out Mustang
MP5 is like a Porsche 911

Both good, cool, and fast cars, but the Porsche comes from the factory just about perfect.

Since I got my Cmmg 9mm m16 upper I’d say it’s easily the best 9mm I’ve ever shot. Better than a mp5

Best control and smoothest with the right spring/buffer

I'd say go for it! I'm happy to see someone else is interested in shooting them now :) they really are nice submachine guns to shoot. And it might have something to do with it, I've only shot it in extremely cold weather and warm, summer weather. I've read some more into it and apparently over time the factory cut corners on tolerance and design, and I noticed Ian had a later-production model (that looked in relatively rough shape), so that might have something to do with it.

I highly agree, an MP5 is pretty much top-notch straight out of the factory, and a Max-31a is like a modified muscle car.

Not to hijack the thread, but what spring and buffer are you using? Haven't run mine yet on my M16.

They are not mine, and I only get to shoot them once a year at a local machine gun shoot, but MG42, M60, and a short barreled M1919 Browning .308. The M1919 is a flamethrower with a short barrel. I love to blast my UZI all the time, but shooting what I consider to be the big boy toys is so much fun to me. Expensive to blast, but LOTS of fun.

M-60 is my overall favorite. Can't afford one right now but I will get one someday.

I've shot a lot of different full auto guns, can't say I found one that I hated. One I looking forward to shooting in a few weeks is the MP 40

Haha, not surprised about the G3. That one, along with the FAL and M14, I hear are real difficult to effectively shoot full auto (though I most commonly hear the M14 is the absolute worst of the three). I saw one guy at the range years ago shooting both a full auto M14 and a G3. I remember the G3 being pretty violent when he dumped a mag down range, but he still managed to get a good hold on the rifle and got a decent grouping on the target. The rifle itself certainly looked real nice though, is it yours or was it a rental?

But jeez, that M14 was a different story though lol, just an accident waiting to happen.

The G3 was a family member’s. I can dump a mag without falling over, but it is a wild ride for sure.

Talk about a wild ride, try a G3K. However that same gun with DAG training ammo is a hoot.
