I am finishing up my first Global reciever that I will be listing for sale. They will be fully welded and finished SA receivers. My question for the collective is should the spot welds on the sight ears show like they do on IMI recievers or should they be polished smooth like Vector receivers?

I voted.
"DOESN'T MATTER"

I had to pull my UZI's out and look @ them.

FS IMI and mini GI semi's

Then I went through video of them and my buddy's IMI mini REG. bolt gun.

I never noticed welds or non welds (seams).
All I care about is the gun going BANG! or in my friends case going ZIP when ya pull the trigger.

You build a UZI that works and your reputation will carry you, so long as they aren't so damn ugly We all gotta start tell'n,,, "YO UZI" jokes!

I'm gonna vote for the IMI style spot welding with no polishing. It looks more correct and that's what I like.

I did not drill the holes to weld the sights in. Look at my step by step UZI build on GUNCO.net.

There's IMI, and then there's EVERYTHING else. Why people settle for "innovation" is beyond me.
Then again it is America and we're all about choices. If people wanna make their MAC 10s and AKs look like Buck Rogers clones, that's their business.

I stay with the classic look every time. It never goes out of style.

If you add up the votes for "like an IMI" together with the ones that "it doesn't matter", it seems like a slam dunk.

I'm just sayin'... :)

I will definately weld them like the IMI from the way the votes went. Unfortunatly with Nodak spud selling welded recievers for $200 I don't think I will be producing any full size unless someone wants me to build them one. I pay almost that much for just the parts alone.

I need to get back on the Mini Uzi receiver build. I am trying to get my backlog work caught up and some of the extra projects done. I should have the prototype grease gun lower done sometime this week. I am retaining the grip safety on it. After that is done I will get the Mini finished and priced out.
