I haven't seen any 9mm mags like this. They look like grease gun mags with an interesting adapter set. Description says the barrel is marked S.S.

Might be for the PAM-1/PAM-2. Some appear to have a magwell adapter attached to the magazine itself.

I think they are Sten mags with a box welded to them to fit AR15 lowers like the old Olympic arms 9mm mags.

It looks like you got it with the sten mags. These uppers must have a larger throat then I am used to if there is no feed ramp. These mags would sit farther forward then colt mags. The upper looks pretty similar to that OA upper you posted. The muzzle on this one is unique. Looks ban inspired.

Yeah, those look like the earlier OA mags. Before they went out of business, OA had transitioned to polymer, "full AR body" form factor mags for their .380, 9mm, .40S&W, and .45ACP set ups.
MHO, YMMV, etc.

Yup Oly upper and Oly mags.
They work well.
Oly did the sheet metal box spacer on all their pistol cal. uppers.
It's a easy way to tell Oly mags when you run across them.
They also produced.
9mm
45 acp
10mm
40 S&W
30 carbine

I have a non Oly 30 carbine upper that uses a mag block like a Colt 9mm and standard carbine mags.
Just cut the mag catch slot in it for a regular AR.

Yup...Oly sten mags to go with their 9mm AR's. Collectible now and they worked quite well back in the day. Will fit some lowers depending on maker. The uppers had an ejector rigged up but I cannot remember exactly. They pop up on GunBroker now and again. I still have one of their 45 acp uppers and it shoots great and very accurate for a pistol carbine.

The ejector on my late production OA .45ACP upper is a shaped leg on one end of a coil spring piece that hooks into the upper. I bought a spare from them when they were in the "going out of business" mode. I also bought a spare bolt carrier and replaced the steel insert with tungsten slugs to reduce the ROF somewhat.
In their later days they did sell a .380ACP version of their PCC upper and that used polymer mags; and IIRC there were only something like 20 or 30 of the uppers.
My favorite OA item is my OA 93 5.56x45 pistol upper. Though the OA 93 upper was used in a dozen or so TV shows and/or movies, even that didn't save OA.
MHO, YMMV, etc.

Yes that's it SecondAmend! They really are great shooters and Olympic was ahead of the times back then with all the different calibers and setups.

The ejector is held down by the bolt and rides against the bolt which provides about two ounces of frictional drag that contributes to a smoother recoil and somewhat lower rate of fire.
MHO, YMMV, etc.

So the ejector rides loose and isnt actually attached? So removing the bolt you can remove the ejector?

No - as I posted above, the ejector is hooked into the upper. A leg portion of the ejector rides against the bottom of the bolt and the front of the ejector "rod" kicks the casing out as the bolt moves reward.

Any more info on that 30 carbine mag block? My 147-180gr tokarev is about the same length as 30 carbine so M1 carbine mags may be just the ticket.

The Oly ejector was a spring that was wrapped around a cross pin in the upper that had one leg resting against the upper and one leg riding in a slot on the bolt/carrier to kick the brass out of the upper. It was a super anemic solution but it worked.

I had a 9mm and 45 upper. At that time I didn't know about adding extra weight to the buffer and it was a very harsh recoil experience even with a ramped bolt. I was worried about breaking FCG pins.

Pics from on top of my chicken coop. I wasn't gonna let them varmints get my ladies.

To reduce the recoil when semi auto PCC shooting, I've got a dedicated "PCC" AR lower that has a JRC (i.e., extra long) buffer tube. When using the OA K45 upper and BCG, I use a B & T AR hydraulic buffer plus two KynSHOT spacer weights. With a "standard" 9mm upper and BCG, I can fit three of the KynSHOT weights along with the B & T buffer in the buffer tube as that 9mm BCG is shorter than the OA .45ACP BCG. I have a MOE stock with the rubber butt pad mounted on the "PCC" lower.
MHO, YMMV, etc.

I'll take a look at the rifle today sometime for you.
The Mfg. is stamped on the mag block but they closed shop a few years ago and the upper with block was made probably 15-20 years ago.
They were big in the parts kit world for making 80% stuff pretty sure their last run was CZ26 tubes before they closed.
It will give you a name to look out for at the least.

For some reason my very old OA 9mm M16 upper is very soft shooting. I’ve never felt a blowback upper that comes close to OA

The OA PCC soft shooting is, in a large part, a result of OA's patented conical bolt and breech interface (which is more expensive to manufacture than the conventional flat faced design).
MHO, YMMV, etc.

The magwell adapter is made by a company called heavymetal
Milled one side 30 Carbine and the opposite side is all one word
Heavymetal.
Two part mag adapter held together with button head torx screws and custom mag catch that is just extended longer to reach through the magwell and lock the carbine mag.
