Magwells are mostly polymer, but have metal parts, too. Uber durable...I did manage to lightly scratch my Glock magwell a bit.

I love how: 1) light, compact, and pointable this upper is (less so with a full drum on the suomi magwell, but still way lighter than a Max-31), 2) the rate of fire, 3) the versatility of mag choices, 4) the overall ergonomics, and 5) how flat this gun shoots.

Is the new riser on the k-stocks detachable and compatible with the older k-stocks?

If not, would one be possible for those of us who are already $1500 into k-stocks?

: )

This is the first thing I thought when I saw the upgraded stock.

Yes, the cheek riser for the K-Stock is compatible with the older K-Stocks. It just snaps on, but can be a little tricky to put on. Please e-mail us and let us know which length of K-Stock you have since we have different length cheek risers for different length stocks. Please give us a couple of days to reply to e-mails, we have to catch up from being away from the shop for SAR Show.

I hope Magpul develops a 100 round drum now that Betaco has stopped production. I'm surprised KCI never produced a 100 rd 9mm drum.
I googled “Beta C 9mm”. The top link was https://drummagazines.com/Beta-Company-C-Mag_bymfg_26-0-1.html which is the Betaco site. It looks like Betaco is still in business selling their drums. As I recall the 9mm Beta C first came to market with the MP5 model in 2004, just before the end of the National Assault Weapons ban ended. I would think that the patent would end soon, but I don’t know about how the patent would be effected by the different 9mm drums that have come out. Would the newer patents renew the patent of the 9mm drum itself? I don’t know.

No, subsequent patents don’t renew earlier ones. I would expect the original patents to be expired, but they might have patents on subsequent variations, improvements, etc.

What is the list of planned magwells?
For the VERSA-11 and VERSA-12:

Suomi Drum (will run drum, coffin, DC-31, ZMAG-S and Suomi Double Feed 36 Round Stick Mag's)
G17
EVO Scorpion
M-11 Shockwave (will not run the Zytels or Promag magazines)

These are designed, prototyped, tested and ready to go.

I am considering making Magazine Modules for MP5, UZI and Colt SMG.

For the VERSA-10 in 9mm:

Suomi Drum (will run drum, coffin, DC-31, ZMAG-S and Suomi Double Feed 36 Round Stick Mag's)
G17

These are designed, prototyped, tested and ready to go.

I will wait to see what customer demand is before I design more.

For VERSA-10 in .45 ACP:

M3 Greasegun
G21

These are designed, prototyped, tested and ready to go.

I will wait to see what customer demand is before I design more.

.45 Versa 10, you say? You have my attention, sir. Not gonna lie, turning my MAC into a modern drum-fed Thompson speaks to me. I hope that has at least been considered if technically feasible.
