Factory rivet on my AA import for comparison; plus stand alone.

Here is a Early .308 in the AR configuration; only 13 digits above yours that just sold not too long ago. Looks like the IMI mag. fits.

Yours is the first early I have seen in the ARM configuration.

I like how the early MR imports had the individual components serialized; which a few of mine have.

Still would like for you to take your hand guard off and see the date stamp on the barrel; which looks like it is blocked by it. I thinking 82'; maybe 81'.

You will not hurt anything taking it off carefully and you will be able to inspect your rifle closer; plus clean / oil in those spots.

Sorry, but that is not a picture of your Action Arms import & ejector.

Or their mechanical stamper requires manual insertion of digits/character pieces and someone put the 8 in upside-down.

Was perusing the Web and came across the ad below, which reminded me of this thread.

Indeed. That one sold some time ago.

I've done my best to document all known early manufactured Galil rifles; they are quite difficult to spot sometimes. It doesn't help that my harddrive with all my Galil photographs got nuked, so I've had to start from scratch.

For those interested, here are the serials I've managed to record of existing guns:

#MR 00515 - 5.56, AR 361 configuration
#MR 00519 - 5.56, AR 361 configuration
#MR 00541 - 5.56, AR 361 configuration

#MR 025xx - 5.56, ARM 372 configuration
#MR 02535 - 5.56, ARM 372 configuration (tested in Guns magazine 1994)
