Back in the day, such stuff did occasionally show up on tables at gun shows. While not the same thing, but as an example, for a very low price I bought a long out of production Ramline 10/22 folding stock off a gun show table a number of years ago. Now "Boomers" are dying off. Widows will give everything their late husband had in his "gun room" to a local dealer to liquidate for whatever they can get.

Yeah unfortunately stuff like this rarely shows up at gunshows anymore. The internet has all but killed off gunshows as a reliable source of vintage collectible gun stuff. My last few experiences with gun shows in recent years involved lots of hopeful searching, lots of Asian made modern tactical AR-15 and Glock stuff.. and lots of disappointment..

Do we know if they are the genuine ones or the reproductions from about 8 years ago

Honestly, I think they are the repops from 8 years ago, the condition is excellent.
