FYI-

I timed my standard-size Vector Uzi with 115 grain Blazer, using a Competition Electronics timer. It came out to 756 RPM. I did not realize it was so fast.

Renegade-

Have you considered installing a polymer buffer in the receiver to see how much it effects your ROF ? There have been threads regarding these stats here in UZITalk forum. Some members have been curious as to how much the ROF can be raised by the installation of this buffer, it is interesting. Then again if you are happy with your ROF there would be no need. Thanks for the info on your Vector.

It was running stock. That is why I was so surprised. Geerally speaking, I do not like to make [home-grown] mods to my guns. Been there, done that.

Wow, that is faster than I would have guessed. IMI officially lists the UZI SMG at 600 RPM, but I know they under-report the mini Uzi. They claim that the mini is 950 RPM (open bolt) but the MGN review of the gun said the actual rate was more like 1200.

The Vector full sized that I shot sure did seem slower than 756. The ROF on my MP5 is supposed to be 800 RPM and the Uzi I shot was significantly slower than my MP5.

ROF data from IMI...

Full-size 600rpm
Mini CB 1,700rpm
Mini OB 950rpm
Micro 1,700rpm

...quite a disparity there! Click the link & go to "small arms" in "select a product group" & then click "UZI smg" : http://www.imi-israel.com/

Great timing on the server crash...

I picked up my Vector full-size smg, Saturday afternoon :)

60 days from filing to approval... not too bad!

I had an L clip w/ two loaded 32rd IMI mags in the trunk for the ride home.... OH YEAH! SWEEEEEEEEEEEET!!!

The workmanship on this gun is awesome. It came w/ the black powdercoat over park finish & the semi feedramp installed. The stock is nice & tight w/o any wobble & is easy to manipulate.

Post count? LOL... you guys should talk!!
Don't get me started about the horror of.... *smiley-abuse*
There should be some kind of support group!

BTW: even though I somehow went from marksman to sharpshooter.... I still have to lift the toilet seat!

stymie, congratulations! Looks like you have something to keep you busy while the board was done. 60 days is pretty good turn around time. Let's see some pictures of you and the new adition!

And I'm with you 100% on *smiley-abuse*. There should be a law...

stymie-

Just wait till you reach the next level, you your aim will be so good you won't have to lift the toilet seat ever again. Keep working hard. Believe me, you will know when you get there. Good luck. And don't worry about that smiley thing.
