Help! my uzi is having issues. My ammo has light primer strikes but its not from a weak spring or a broken firing pin. It has a semi auto barrel in it and when i fire it the round feeds too far into the chamber i think. The round jams in the chamber. Anyone else have this issue. Im getting ready to have a smg trunion and barrel installed i think.

Hey richard

I talked with you on the phone a few months ago. It is a vector. It was my fathers but he passed away. I got all the nfa paperwork of course but it is marked group industries also. It has a damn semi auto barrel in it, along with trunion. 2 years ago it ran perfect then it gradually started having hangups, meaning the first round fired gets lodged in the chamber with a dent on primer? I got a new recoil spring from you, and a barrel nut. What do you suggest?

I was under the impression Vectors had all factory spec parts installed from the factory.

It has a damn semi auto barrel in it, along with trunion.

I have a full auto IMI UZI pre May dealer sample from Kent Lamont's collection that was factory built with a semi trunion, it is NOT a conversion. Over the years I have spoken to several owners of these, all were imported by the same LE importer and have the same configuration. It functions perfectly as it is and I have no intention of changing anything about it.

The original IMI barrel is a 8.5 inch, currently I have a semi 10.5 inch BWE barrel installed. I had not noticed it had a semi trunion until I first ordered a spare barrel from BWE, I had assumed it was a full auto trunion when I ordered the barrel and did not realize the difference until that barrel would not fit. BWE allowed me to swap out that barrel for a semi version.

Your problems probably are not related to the semi trunion or semi barrel.

Fixed it today! bent the top cover. Popped on run like hell 3 mags. Thanks for the advice guys

i should add my problems started with winchester white box ammo. It drove me crazy, richard hoffman told me to change ammo and i did. It is running perfect now. The top cover was rubbing the bolt a lil bit too. Thank you again
