Uzi Mini Optic Mount

I couldn't find a mount for my Uzi so I came up with something that worked out pretty good.

I bought a Full Size Uzi Mount from Stormwerkz, then modified it.

1. I cut off 3 of the picatinny lugs.
2. I turned it backwards.
3. I ground down the bottom lug so it sits flat
4. Drilled the holes and mounted it.

Works good.

I only put that on to test the mount. It's ok, but I'm not a big fan of their red dots. I love their high end scopes, though.

I've tried just about every red dot on the market and my favorite small red dot is the Holosun 509 followed by the Leupold Deltapoint Pro.

My biggest problem with the Vortex red dots is that every time I go to use one, the battery is dead. I've also had two fail. One, the glass fell out and the other wouldn't adjust the point of impact. I've had one partial failure on a Leupold and none on any Holosun. The Leupold's last much longer with the Shake Awake. Same with the Holosuns with the added benefit of the solar backup.
