Uzi "Micro/Pistol" lug mounts

Hey fellow uzi peoples whats up.



I have a question. I see some newer para Micro and uzi Pistols with lug mounts like on the Mini and the full size Uzi's. Now my question is this, Are these lug mounts I see on the Micro and uzi Pistols Permantly welded to the frame?, or can these be made specially or bought seperately and attached the the under side of the frame just before the trigger gaurd some how?

I don't own a pistol/micro and have never payed that close of attention so this aint gospel, but I think they are permanently attached the same way the SMG and Mini's are. Karl.

Uzi pistols don't have any kind of lug. The para micro has a long arm that extends down and forward from underside of the receiver. I'm sure it's welded to the receiver. I don't know if the end of the arm has a standard Uzi lug or some sort of rail. I have not seen a standard micro in person. The photos I've seen appear to have a lug welded to the front of the receiver. I'd guess it's the standard Uzi lug but I'm not positive.

Hmmm, I would assume also that the Para Micro's that do have lug mounts are welded to the actually receiver itself and that they are just in fact LUG mounts. Not picatinny or weaver rails. However, For those of lucky enough to have mounts on their Micros, Botachtactical sells the weaver mount that attaches to the lug so you can put a variety of accessories on your micro or pistol. At least so they say. I just wish there was some way I could mount a lug on the under side of my pistol. Any ideas or hints?

If I were to guess, I'd say the para micro's have a picatinny rail at the end of the arm, not a lug. It looks like it's designed for accessories (not a bayonet) so that would be the logical choice.

A number of members have ordered the lug mounts from Botach and seem to like them. As far as putting something on the pistol, I think your only choice would be to weld something to the receiver. There would be room on the pistol - right were the lug is on the Micro. You could just weld one of the rails from Botach direct to the receiver. There may be other options too depending on what you want to mount. If you wanted a laser you could look for a trigger guard mounted laser.
