So I bought a couple used Uzi mags and it turns out one has a "40" on the back. I have searched the internet and could not find .40 S&W mags for sale. Is it possible that this is made for .40 S&W or is it probably some sort of manufacturers mark? What is a .40S&W mag worth used? (Is there even a market?)

I think I have some of the mags you speak of. They look like 'factory' mags but are not and I have had reliability problems with them.

IMI did make some 40SW mags but they were just 41AE mags remarked 40SW.
Below is a pic of a Post Sample Mini in 40SW that I took at the Creek. Note the mag inserted. That is what an original 40SW UZI mag looks like.

They are usually 41 AE mags or modified grease gun mags. Though I have had pretty good luck with early 25rd IDF star marked mags that have the raised seam on the back
