Uzi in 45ACP vs 9mm

I was very impressed with the Uzi in 45 ACP with GG Mags. I tried it in a Subgun competition yesterday for the first time.

I was very impressed. It was accurate, reliable, stable, with quick mag changes. Also, no issues with the grip safety when swapping back and forth between strong hand, weak hand during the match.

I used three of my Buddy Marks 50 Round GG Mags and they were absolutely flawless. I must have shot 500 rounds through them.

Being a 9mm Fan, I hate to admit that I really like the Uzi in 45 ACP.

I was wondering if anyone else had thoughts on the topic?

I also really like shooting my Uzi in .45 - I like the ROF, and the weight soaks up the recoil.

I guess I'm the one to disagree. I dislike the Uzi in 45. I find it to be choppy. I also dislike the factory 45 mags, they are a pain to load.

I will have to try the MAC10 with Lage to compare it with the UZI in 45 with the Humphrey lower for GG Mags?

I am surprised at so few replies, I guess that most Uzi Shooters like it the way it was made in 9mm. It seems that there are more 9mm Uzi fans than 45 ACP fans?

PS, I am glad that I got a few of your "Bartomark" 50 Round GG Mags, easy to load and 100% reliable.

I've got an uzi 45 acp conversion that I haven't used in years. I bought a modified lower so I can use grease gun magazines in it. The take away I got when I first shot it 'oh, that's why Thompsons are so heavy'. The novelty of shooting 45 through my uzi wore off pretty quick. It's much better in 9mm.
