I was browsing SARCO a few days ago and they had some, few bucks north of 100 I believe.

I have one ..Posted on here about it in fact ..They come in a cool canvas carry case but they are bulky and heavy for darn sure I rather just get a rail section and use a more modern flashhigh ..Also this does not work on non NFA/pistol UZI I think

Hint there is a reason they are cheep lol ..Finding batteries for them sucks to high heaven ... Only a few compaines in the EU still make the batteries and using other with apadtores is ? at best. I dont really plan on using them much even though I have current production batteries as from I hear it drains them fast and well they are not ext easy to find spares of

The only good news is the bulbs are pretty normal and easy to find

Thanks guys good info - I wouldn’t buy one due to the battery issue but the mount is pretty cool.

Looks like you could make one fairly easy out of a tractor "work light"... Gotta love older tech, kinda reminds me of the M1 Carbine "snooper scope" version with the infrared spotlight on it. I think technically the rifle was the accessory that mounted to the light system!

Currently restoring one I got a few years ago for my IDF collection. Also somehow got lucky and acquired the IR lens for it with a pair of IDF NVG’s. I relamped it with a miners type light bulb from ACE hardware. Had to change the terminal lugs on the wires to match and use Coca Cola to remove corrosion in the battery tube from an old battery. You can get a VARTA battery cell for it or some guy on the forum uses a different battery with a spacer. Uzi searchlight bulb, GE4546 4.7v bulb

Get one of these and then you can mount any modern compact LED light you want. I have one of these on my Uzi and its fantastic. With the light removed you barely even notice the small rail so the classic look of the Uzi is maintained. That other contraption was fine for its day but is way too big and bulky with the availability of modern technology.
