While entitled to do this if everyone only bought what they thought was their lifetime supply maybe they would be around longer and lower prices if not for hoarding or companies that will buy these and resell them later at a markup

I think this actually happened to a lot of parts.

The price of UZI extractors was $14 in 2014 when I bought my UZI and most recently they were actually selling at $70 on gunbroker.

even accounting for inflation, that would sort of infer that 75% of the supply has dried up. so where did they go?

I have had an extractor break; the hook part of the extractor broke off cleanly at the notch/recess for the case rim. Like most blowback guns, the Uzi will kinda/sorta/sometimes work without an extractor so it wasn't instantly obvious that it had broken. After a few random jams I noticed the failure.

I just ordered two more extractors. I think that'll be maybe 5 9mm extractors and 3 .45 extractors in my stash. I suspect that's a lifetime supply for me.

I had an extractor go Biden on me at about the 20,000 round mark, but it didn't break, it deformed, lost its bend. I should give it re-bend and see what happens.

Not seeing any hording at this time, most folks are buying 2-5 at a time. Finding parts overseas is very difficult and they want you to pay gunbroker prices! and that's before duty costumes, and shipping!

I had a fa extractor lose it’s tension. I have a few extra nos extractors on hand but figured why not try rebending my old one. I gave it a really solid bend and thought it might break while bending. It didn’t break and my retension job has been working great ever since.

These are the real thing, i.e. factory IMI 9mm full auto extractors? Not modified .45 extractors or the out-of-spec Chinese copies that Sarco was selling?

Ordered. First parts I've purchased (other than mags and speed loaders) for my Vector Uzi that's been in ATF jail since 5/14/2024.

Thank you!
