Wanting to gauge interest in new .45 Uzi SMG profile barrels. These are typically hard to find, but Rob at In Lead We Trust has agreed to consider making a run of them if there is enough interest. Please post here if you would be interested in purchasing one. I'm sure that there could be threading options on them as well like there was with the MAC barrels that they made for us. ILWT does some really nice work, so no doubt that these will work and look perfect.

my IMI .45 kit didnt work in my GI uzi.....the guy i sold it to with a Vector said it did not work in his gun either......and i heard another person w/ a vector say another kit didnt work in his.....so i think the .45 kit is touchy and may not work out of the box in any Vector...this may make selling barrels an issue...plus the fact that mags are too small of round count...

i have yet to hear anyone with a vector in which the .45 kits work.....

Vector bolt/barrel kit with IMI mags works perfectly in full size Vector SMG for me. The upside to the 16 round mags is they keep you from wasting as much money. I've thought about trying one of those mag couplers, but the idea of spending money to spend more money is anathema to me.

MHO, YMMV, etc.

My 45 kit runs fine. I would be interested in a barrel if it was threaded and at reasonable price. If I could find a bolt for a mini, I would be interested in a barrel for that too.

How hard would it be to reprofile such an smg barrel to SA configuration? I'm looking for a SA .45 barrel.

I'm in for purchasing a .45 barrel for my SMG.

I know someone who had a Group Industries gun with all three caliber conversions and his SMG and it ran extremely well . . .

Please send me message when these are ready to go.

This was my experience with IMI .45 bolt and barrel with a Revelation Arms (Roger Loock) Grease Gun converted lower....perfect function and performance in my Group Industries Uzi.

I actually had 2 of the IMI .45 kits, but got rid of them both years ago b/c I didn't care for the gun's dynamic with the .45

Between the cost of the ammo, and the "chuggy" feel of the shooting (i.e., "the gun's dynamic"), I do very little .45 ACP shooting in the Uzi (and M16) platforms. I'll let whichever one of the kids who gets the Uzi when I'm gone decide whether they want to keep any of the stuff.

I have a IMI FA Barrel & Bolt that I ran only one time 100rds in my Vector FS FA & it worked perfectly. I only ran it once because I am afraid the .45 will beat the crap out of the gun. But it did work 100%.

I do not believe that the .45 ACP would result in any more damage to the gun than does 9 mm ammo that has adequate power to cycle the action. My experiences shooting .45 ACP have never resulted in "bottoming out" the bolt at the rear of the receiver (i.e., I did not experience any gun beating, just a wallet beating). The .45 ACP ammo I have used includes Rem UMC (which, in contrast to 9 mm Rem UMC, .45 ACP does cycle the action), Winchester White Box, and Federal American Eagle. All 230 grain ball.

MHO, YMMV, etc.
