I was wondering if anyone knew of a source for an AR-15 magazine adapter that will eject 45 ACP rounds from the new Promag magazines? I saw a post from a person (Mad machinist) on AR15.com who posted a video of his modified conversion kit that allowed an AR 15 to fire and eject 45 ACP magazines with no malfunctions.

I have one of his magblocks for the uzi mags and it works. He opened up an AR bolt to work with .45acp. He also cut the mag catch for the promags to work. I'm pretty sure he is not making them anymore, lack of interest and other options. He is big on GG mags and has an adapter for the USC mags for the AR. These days most people are going with a grease gun lower for their AR45 needs.

I found that a grease gun magazine fully loaded with 45 ACP made by Uzi with a grease gun conversion feel extremely unbalanced, hence why I would prefer a shorter and slightly slimmer 22 round Promag magazine. There is a seller on Gunbroker selling new AR-15 9MM Uzi magazine adapters,http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=426343477. So I guess my next objective is to find out how to replace their ejector with one compatible with the 45 ACP cartridge.

He still does them. Look him up, give him a call. He is extremely helpful and friendly.

I had a 45 AR with the uzi mags and now I have one of Mad Machinist's upper on a GG CNC lower and just love it.

YMMV
