I got this magazine recently in a lot, and have no idea what it goes to.

It has the floor plate and dual witness holes of a PAM-2 mag, but the side plate and feed lips do not match my other PAM-2 mags. It has a serial number (PAM-2-like), but then it has a production iteration ("8" in this case) and a cross stamped into it.

Someone on another board thought that is has been modified to work in a Colt AR/SMG, but I'd really like to know what gun it was made for.IMG_20210512_225207054.jpgIMG_20210512_225201234.jpgIMG_20210512_225222746.jpg

Anyone know what this is?

They are correct...these are PAM 2 mags altered to fit and work in the Colt 9mm AR15 / M16. These are another product of the 1994 AWB when future availability of "high capacity" magazines was uncertain and factory Colt 9mm mags were insanely expensive.

I have some of these and picked them up from CDNN back in the day. They work fine in my experience, but with cheap factory pattern magazines available, I haven't used them in years.
