His 2.1 oz optic took the 1950 RPM down to a suppressed 1480 RPM. It's a good place to start with weights.

The toro models are already cut for optics, how about just a thick lead sheet screwed into it? Or get fancy and make a mold to make it look factory.

What’s your bolt idea?

I think I have some lead wire. My first idea was to just try wrapping some of that around the RDS to test the concept. I should be able to try it this afternoon

I’d hook it on real good. If it comes off at that cycling rate, I would not want to be hit in the face with it.

Has anyone tried it with one of the 5” competition models? The long slide might be heavier.

Supposedly the compacts are the most reliable from doing a bit of research.
I bought the PSA compact I mentioned since I had already made the purchase before Alaskan shooter mentioned the other one.
50 bux more and you get a pistol optic.
It shipped yesterday so I'll see how it works with the SWR Specter and the 22TY frt shipped also.

I looks like all three models have the same slide weight.

The one I bought has the 3- 16rd mags and 2- 22 rd mags. It's a 4.6" barrel with no RDS cut.

I wonder if a block of material could be milled as a heavy back plate? It would look like a switch. :)

I have a 2.8" barrel 22LR pistol and velocity suffers so I wanted something with more back pressure.

Tandem cross and thingaverse both have lots or slide chargers.
Tamdencross is aluminum and thingaverse is of course 3d printed.
So I think so Strobro.
I'llhave to tram in my vise.
I'd start super heavy taking off a bit everytime till it Works and keeping track of weight removed.
Once done remill one with the finger loop and correct weight so it does not look like a G switch.
Also thingaverse has a 3d printed +9 mag floor plate I'll have to give try.

I added weight to my slide and it ran subsonic frt with a can. It worked with CCI and Rem subs. This gun hates everything aguilla

If I go with a solution like this I could use two recessed bolts with a flat plate on top of the slide. That would connect the two bolts and keep them from moving under recoil.

The -10% spring will be here next week to try first

Alaska Shooter, Youtube just nuked your vids. Did you make some private to protect the rest? Time for an Odysee account.

Thanks for recommending Odysse. I’ll try it.

YT gave me a warning and killed that video. It might be because I posted links to products in the description but I’m not sure if that was the only issue.

I then played around with hiding my channel and then bringing it back. I got Rumble but it won’t work for some reason.

Here’s the test video. Short bursts with random round counts so RPM won’t work unless you slow it down and count rounds. IIRC I tried the CCI sub first and Rem sun second but that’s a guess. Aguilla sub was last. My gun hates both their subs and supers

Tx22 FRT pricing is about to drop to almost free. Here’s what it costs to order from Chyna

I think the rest went private either from YT messing with me or me playing around with settings. Most of the videos are for my use that I then shared. I have no aspirations of Monetizing or being a YT star. I don’t want to lose those videos

I ignored all your safety advice and just wrapped it around the RDS and then put electrical tape over it. It flew off after a short burst but then I knew I was onto something.

It just kinda flopped off

And I was squeezing my eyes shut for safety so I had that protection in place. ?

Has anyone talked about what the problem is with cans?

Either it has something to do with screwing up the barrel movement with extra weight and/or bolt bounce from faster slide cycling, or ???

Over the last 5-6 years, I've been getting emails from YouTube that they have been changing my firearm related videos to be age restricted which then requires an account to view them. Not sure if this is your issue or not.

I have been getting the age restriction also but the current issue is separate. They have me a warning and started me on a 3 strike path. They said they’d remove the warning in 90 days if I took their training class.

I opted out of their training.

I set up an Odysee account and I’m still trying to figure that app out
