Has anyone tried a dead blow buffer backplate? Instead of a bulky SS cube, make it smaller and hollow & fill with W powder?

Judy thinking out loud as I don't have one yet ;)

Those safety deletes should work fine.

Want me to print some for you Strobro?
They look like a 15 minute or less print.
Might give them a try too since it has the trigger safety.

Gonna try printing some mags and see how they hold up.
Not like there are any in stock anywhere over 10 rnds anyways.
The wizard stick is pretty cool.

This YouTuber shows how to assemble a GSG drum onto a TX22 mag with the FF adaptor and then shoots it fairly successfully.

I could not load more than 30 rds in mine. Tried with live rounds and dummy rounds/live rounds. Oh how I tried. No go diggy die.

I have gen2 TX22 4.6" bbl TORO with Sparrow and FFT frt. Unsuppresed it ran great with regular loads. Didn't try subs unsuppressed.

Suppressed no go with any ammo I tried.

I modified the galloway precision optic mount plate by filling the voids with cerrosafe. The modified plate 35g plus optic 30g repaces the TORO blank cover 19g for net weight gain of 46-47g/1.6oz

Slide with this setup is 150g without barrel/spring assembly vs 103g without optic/galloway mount.

CCI 40gn subs no go
Rem Thunderbolt 40gn 1255fps - good to go
Fed 38gn 1260fps - good to go
Fed 36gn white box fps not listed - good to go

Cheap postal scale used for all weights.

The optic may not be very practical on this gun but won't be confused with a switch.

I'm pleased with resuls.

I finally was able to load 100 rds into the GSG drum. I used the 16 rd mag body. I broke the short adapter because screws separated the tab. Had to use the angled adapter. I got rid of the printed follower and printed dummy rounds. They had too much friction. Used the dummy strip from the GSG +19 live rounds +1 dummy on top. Then I was able to load 100 rds on top of that.

Not sure if it's going to work. I should probably to add weight to the slide to slow down the ROF before testing.

Got a chance to test the GSG 110 drum. I used the TX22 with the 30 gram rear plate weight box to help slow it down. It ran 60 rds and then started stove pipping every 3 rounds. ROF was 1783 RPM

Ammo: CCI MM 40 gr HV

Unweighted - 1890 rpm
Weighted w/ 30 grams -1621 rpm
Suppressed- ? I keep getting FTFs

I noticed a bit ago with the printed mag extension to 25 rnds the last 5 rounds nose down and also cause rim lock.

Load it to 20 rnds and it presents the rnd correctly.
So I'll have to print out some followers and see what I can do with those to get all 25 in the mag correctly.
This is with the new gen 3 BDM DPMS springs.
My original DPMS spring didn't work at all.

Currently printing mags to see if they work better since it all came in one zip with two different versions of the mag in each one.
See if one works better then the other.

Today I tested +15 extensions and was using BDM 12" Gen 3 32rd mag springs but they were not strong enough.

The "other guys" say XXXXXXXXX mm springs worked in their tests. Those springs translate to .032 x .393 x 12" springs.

OEM 16 rd springs- .023 x .384 x 7.5" springs
OEM 22 rd springs- .025 x .395 x 8.5" springs * much different design on follower, mag plate and metal sliding plate for follower
Proven + 30 rd springs - .032 x .393 x 12" springs
BDM 32 rd springs in - .022 x .363 x 12" springs

Proven compression springs are much stronger than the BDM springs.

The Amzon spring DO NOT WORK. Don't buy them. The guy who said they did now has a lot of pissed off customers

Ebay is another option,

Anyfhing from china is 100% tarriffs.
Ask me how I know.

The BDM 305mm aka 12 inch spring is over powered for the 25 round extension.
Works great at 20 rounds.
I'll need to cut one coil at a time until it doesn't over compress and tip the bullet nose down on the last 5 rnds.
Maybe tomorrow or Sunday.
My can is going in the dip tonight.
