Strobro, Is Mak91 selling the McFadden adaptor or was it just a one off for you?

It seems like your slide does not have more wear than mine.

I think besides light finger pressure, another issue leading to wear is how polished the FRT is. Many of these FRTs are being laser cut unlike stamping on the OEM disconnector. The laser process leads to serrations and burs in the sides of the FRT. It would be wise to polish the slide hump before installation. I've had luck reforming (hole enlargement and reforming the slide hump) the first batch of FRTs. They work perfectly after shaping and polishing. I have new ones coming that should address these issues. I plan on wet tumbling them in ceramic media before sale.

Good advice here. I have found that it often pays to spend a little time with a dremel tool, knife sharpening stone, emery paper, etc. to polish things up a bit before using them.

I tried a bdm spring from one of my failed dpms 22 ar mags
It didn't work.
I should have springs that do work on the way.
Once here I'll know if they are any better then my bdm spring I tried.
Bullets would not nose up in the mag and caused them to dive into the lower frame.
Odd thing is the springs recommended are the same length as the bdm springs.
Either they are different thickness wire or wound different ( more or less coils ) or on top of the feed lips failing the spring failed also.

EDM and water jet cutting (which are also commonly performed metal cutting techniques) are as bad, and sometimes worse than laser cutting for leaving serrations and burrs.

MHO, YMMV, etc.

Was it the 32 rd Gen 3 mag springs? Was this tried with the 30 rd extensions?

Was tried with the 9+ to make a 16 rnd mag 25 rnds.
Was a mag from bdm with their aftermarket 30 rnd 22 mags for the dedicated DPMS circa 2009-10 possibly earlier.
Mag worked ok until the feed lips wore and wouldn't hold rounds anymore.

The old bdm spring I tried just didn't have the power to push the rounds up and force the projo to present at a upward tilted angle like the OEM mag requires.
Maybe the new bdm springs are moe betta!
The other 10 bdm mags from then still work great in my dpms dedicated 22 upper.

Ones I ordered are 305mm or 12 inches long.
Same as the ones listed on bdm's site.

I shot a box of 500 Winchester M22s, a 325 box of Federal and 200 rounds CCI this morning. The pistol did not like the Winchester. That brought the total to about 2500 rds. The plastic TX22 housing dose not seem to have additional wear. I'm beginning to wonder if it will wear anymore than the rounding of of the plastic corner in front of the striker block.

I would like to test one of those 30 rd mag extensions.

I'll get some of them printed in the next few days for you strobro and send them with springs.
I'll have to look at the hardware I used to screw the base on I robbed it out of left over RC screws so they are metric and long but I'll get them measured and check if I have any more.

I saw a video and prototype of a beretta m9 frt.

Frt ALL the things! 🤣

Where this ends (legally) I have no idea.

I know this is a debatable topic but it sure looks to me like the common MG auction prices are coming in lower.

I've now shot 3200 rounds. I have seen no wear since the 1000 round mark.

I shot up most of my older ammo today. The gun likes HV ammo best. The older stuff that is 15 years or older runs very good. It seems to be hotter stuff.
