The Tulsa, Ok gun show is Saturday and Sunday March 31-April 1.

Who is going?

Anyone want to get together either sometime during the show for a quick hello, or maybe even Saturday after the show for food or drink?

Please post and maybe we can get something scheduled for an informal meeting.

It would be good to meet some of you in person.

What will you be looking for, and what are you bringing to sell?

I'm in. We could meet at 12:00 straight up at a designated spot like maybe outside in that little park just south of the doors @ 30 feet. I'm also all in for the evening gig. Me and my buddies deffinitely plan on consuming mass quantities of brain thinner before we hit the rack!:jester

I will be there, not sure what day just yet. I will wear my UZI Talk T-shirt. Let me know where your going for food and drinks after the show, that may be the best place to hook up.

7 days from today I'll be leaving.

There's only 3 of us going?

Jarhead Jim, I like the idea of a designated meeting place at high noon on Saturday.
Then I want to hear the stories about what happened during the Saturday evening festivities!! :beer

My Father-in-law asked if I could help drive a car back from Santa Fe.

I said I could on two conditions. One, we take the Southern route home. Two, we do it the weekend of March 31st.

For the record, I have a great Father-in-law.

Anybody have any advice on how to see 4000 tables in 6 hours?

Tips to get through the Tulsa show in 6 hours:

1- Go into the show on a full stomach so you're not stopping to eat.
2- Take a note pad to write down things you need to remember.
3- Know what you you're looking for cause you won't have time to brouse.
4- Don't talk to strangers (except Uzitalk members).
5- Take your father in laws watch so you can lie about the time.
6- Don't yell "Stick em' up" while inside the show!!!

Hope to see you there.

Thanks. I'll be definatly doing #5

You forgot the the one I already know:

Cash is King!

I'll be taking an authentic Johson rifle bayonet and authentic scabbard in excellent condition. Any idea what I should be asking for it. The ones I see on ebay are almost always some kind of fake.

I love the Tulsa show! 15-20 years ago me and a friend would exchange "wanted lists", and set our walkie-talkies to the same channel, then set off for opposite ends of the show making notes of table locations that had merchandise we were interested in. Try yelling "SNAKE!", when you get to interesting tables. In the confusion, push your way through the crowd to the table. This will work a few times on Saturday, by Sunday, no one will notice and you may have to resort to the false "WASP!" report with the slap on the back. That'll make 'em move! Wish I could be there!

Yeh, run!:jester

Another thing to bring. One of those pull behind you baggage thing-a-mu-jigs. The one with the wheels and collapseable handle. It saves you a lot of time going out to the truck. A walki-talki or cell phone.

I'll be wearing my black t-shirt with "open season on muslems, no rag limit" in white letters. And a boonie hat.

Who else would admit being me in public?:jester

FF, you mean you might bail out of the evening festivities? You know the old recruitment saying in WW11......"Don't read American history......MAKE IT!"

No Jim, I can't make the evening festivities. :cry
I make it to Tulsa once a year or so. I'm going with my best friend and his dad (who lives in Enid) will be there and have a table at the show. We always spend some time with him out for supper and "catching up" on things.
I'll have to hear about the fun you all have later.
It's all for the better..all the hot chicks would have been hanging around me anyway. :lol

Oh it's open for 2 days to the general public, and 3 days to those who have dealer badges.
I believe ZF1 can only make it for one day however.
Why aren't you coming DB? Still looking for a house for me?

Tulsa Gun Show

I have been going to the Tulsa Show for 25 plus years. BUT!!!!! things maybe changing for the Show. The city of Tulsa is trying to annex the fairgrounds. The fairgrounds is on county land. If the city does this, this show and the other guns shows that are held there will be under the control of a Mayor who is very ANTI-GUN. I hope I am wrong about this. But I have a very bad feeling about this. Another down side will be an increase in sells tax for all events.

O...U...C...H!!!!!!! Say it isn't sooooooooo!!!!!

I hope you're wrong. If not, maybe the mayor will be in a serious traffic accident and die.........not to be too harsh on him , of course.:gym

Jim

I'm fairly certain that if he just hung around you for a week or so, that the same result would happen...... and that way it would look like a true accident.
:lol :chainsaw :lol :pound :roflmao

Just kidding Jim... I love all the adventure stories you tell !!!
I look forward to meeting you.

LOL! FF!

So does the "High Noon" meeting outside the front entrance sound good to everyone? We could all grab a gut bomb in the building a little earlier and meet outside at 12:00 straight up. I'm packing my lunch in my goodie carrier and will eat on the run while inside the show. If everyone keeps an eye on their watches (I'll have to borrow one) we could pull it off.

Lookin' forward to meeting y'all!:marines

It's confirmed.
High noon outside the front entrance on Saturday.
I'm just gonna grab something to eat and be there.
I'll be wearing my Uzitalk shirt, or hat,or both.

I hope anyone at the show can make it!!!
See ya soon, and drive safe.
