When I got my 20# spring it was harder to install the end cap but I did get it on. Talk about a stiff trigger pull! I polished my bolt and sear and shot it. It did improve with age as they say and I really can't tell the difference between the 20# spring and the stock spring now.

As far as the group spring buy, put me down for a couple of the 18#ers. Who's getting paid and where and how do they want payment?

Jake, I didn't know the as-built spring rate was 18# until I sent my original to the spring shop so he could clone it. For the group buy I prefer to just go with the original spring rate and length. Everybody uses different ammo and I don't want to be responsible for guys buying springs that may batter their recoil cap pin.

Timac is the manufacturer.

I'll post a price on this string as soon as I hear back.

Happycamper, once I know who is actually buying springs I place the order and I pay for it. Once the springs are delivered and I accept they are good, you send me the funds (cash or postal MO) and I mail the springs to you. I have done 2 other small group buys (one here for the AC556 springs and one on BrenLMG for HoldAll cases) and I can give you refs if you want to check me out. As I said in another post, check my ebay and gunbroker.com feedback as "John45ACP".

John,

I trust you; no worries there. I've had nothing but good dealings with folks in the NFA community. Pretty much a good bunch. I'm sure there are rotten apples, but I don't like to color everyone b/c of a few.

I am fine with the 18# spring. I didn't know what the stock weight was and didn't know you'd sent the guy a stock spring for reference. I just wanted a stock weight spring and the 20# spring is way heavier than my stock version.

Sounds like a great set up and thanks for getting this organized.

MK-760 RECOIL SPRING GROUP BUY DETAILS

OK boys and girls, I got the quote back. For a new manufacture clone replacement MK-760 recoil spring, minimum order of 20 by me, I can deliver springs to you for:
1-3 @ $8.50 each
4-6 @ $8.00 each
7+ @ $7.75 each

No money required by you until I have the springs here (manufacturer quoted me delivery is 1-2 weeks ARO). USPS money orders, PayPal (no upcharge) or cash.

If you want a drop in stock length and rate spring for your MK-760 this is the time to order it. Again, I have no idea if these will fit and function in the S&W 76 or the SW760. I won't be placing the order until I have a total from you guys. Lets go 1 week from today to close the order.

Questions? Please ask.

I'll take 5, too, unless we fall short of the minimum, in which case, I'll take more.

(Way too many commas in that sentence)

Thanks John!

Cool. We have 24 (up to Jake's post) so we made the price break for the lowest per spring price. Thanks for signing up.

If it turns out these springs will function in an S&W76, I'll be in for a few on the next run.
