Does anyone know where I can get tritium inserts for my Golani? How much they cost and how hard to install? Since they are radioactive what are the regulator hurdles to be overcome?

Thanks

Yeah, most sets of Tritium sights that you find on the surplus market are shot (Tritium degrades over time, and is usually only good for about ten years or so - max).

That being said - I saw a couple of sets at the Miami Gunshow that were relatively new production, and they glowed just like a new set of Trijicons or Meprolights....but they were asking over $250 a set.... :puke

I faintly remember someone found Green Glow-in-the-dark paint which they just added to the insert holes and they claimed it worked pretty well. But i guess that's if you don't live in Alaska going months without sunlight... in which case the tritium may be a better idea :peep
